Functionality Testing

Functionality testing is where people will test the game/console to make sure the game meets the standards it has been set and to make sure that the game is working as it should be and there is no faults. They have to follow certain demands of the products.

Localization Testing

Localization testing is where the testers have to make sure that the translation of the game is right for the country/city because if they do not sort out the translation to match the language for where the game is then you could have people complaining about the game because they can not understand it. Localization testing is also where the testers have to check the quality of the sound so that the people playing the game have no problem listening to what the characters in the game are saying.

Regression Testing

Regression testing is where the people testing the game have to check that the software that which was on the previous games that the company has made are still up and running and that the software works on the consoles that the game is being made onto, so that when people are playing the game they have no problem trying to play the game.

Soak Testing

Soak testing is where the people testing the game, have to test the stability of the game and to check the characters performances for a long period of time, they have to do this because if there is any faults with the characters later on in the game and they have not checked it because they have only checked the character for a small amount of time.
