Pre-Production
The pre-production phase is where a group of game testers will have a group discussion and discuss what questions they will ask themselves and each other about the game they are about to test. The game testers will also discuss different areas of the map that they have to check for any glitches or things that will make one player have a advantage over another player. Game tester also have to make sure that the game is suitable for the age limit which the game has been given.
Production
The production stage is the second stage of the game testing stages and in this stage the game testers will test out each of the levels on the game for any faults and misconceptions which do not match the standards that have been set for the game, Also in the production phase, the game testers will have to try out every asset that are in the game, so that will involve all the characters that are in the game and objects that could not be working or there could be objects that are blocking your way, objects that you can fall through, also objects that could can use to help you, they might not work.
Post Production
The Post production stage is the third phase of the game testing stages, in this stage the game testers will be checking the game now it has been updated, so they will be checking things like, DLC, online modes and if there has been any market systems added onto the game. When the game has been checked, the report will be sent to the director of the game and if there is any bad reports about the game, the game will be updated.
Alpha Phase
The Alpha phase is the fourth stage of game testing. The Alpha phase is when the game is in its early stage of being developed and then it gets tested, so they can see if the game needs to be improved. If the game needs to be improved, the team will improve the areas which need to be improved and then send the information to the beta test team, so when the beta test team look at the game they will no what to search for.
Beta Phase
The Beta phase is the last stage of testing before the game can be released. The beta stage is where they will test the mistakes which the alpha team has sent over to them and if the company have completed improving the game and the beta team are happy with the game, the game can be released. The beta team will also ask for costumer feedback so they can see how the gaming is doing and how people are liking the game.
